I’m Devin Mortensen, CPA the proud owner of Brecken Business Solutions.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

After enthusiastically working for Deloitte as a CPA for a few years, my husband and I decided to start a family. I knew that my job would not allow me the time that I wanted to be with my loved ones, but I still hoped to continue working with a more flexible schedule. 

So, I decided to start a bookkeeping firm in 2017 to serve small businesses with their accounting needs while also allowing me to be at home with my kids. 

Over the past three years, my firm has grown substantially, and I’m now able to offer many more services, including sales tax, payroll, and projections. I’ve also added six part-time employees to the roster. 

Furthermore, I respect everyone, and as an individual, I believe what sets me apart from others is that I treat my employees with kindness and gratitude. I give people the benefit of the doubt, which has made me successful.

I also attribute my success to being readily available when my clients need me, and I strive for accuracy while going above and beyond to meet deadlines. 

As a result, it fills me with immense satisfaction when I land a large client and exceed their expectations. The most rewarding part is seeing my clients use my recommendations to better their organizations and save on tax obligations. 

When I’m not analyzing financial statements, I love having fun with friends and family by playing games or being outdoors. I also like to travel at any chance I get.
