My experience with BBS has been excellent. Devin and her team were able to jump right into the thick of things as our company was transitioning over from a different financial services provider that had worked with our company for the past 15 years. Although no doubt a daunting task, BBS was able to cultivate a great relationship with our previous providers, and took it upon themselves to work independently with these parties when necessary to ensure that the wealth of background understanding and context from the past 15 years was not overlooked or dismissed as "unimportant." I believe this extra effort by BBS to really learn our business and understand how we got to this point, has already begun to pay dividends when it comes to the BBS team's ability to quickly understand and respond to our needs. On top of all that, I have found BBS to be incredibly responsive and communicative in all of our dealings. Even if the deliverable cannot be provided right away (which it often can be), our BBS team will almost always provide a simple response confirming that the communication was received, that the request was understood, and/or that the deliverable/answer would be forthcoming. For me, that might actually be the most important thing I look for in a business partnership. I would highly recommend BBS to anyone looking for this kind of support. And if you are unsure of whether or not/to what extent they might be able to help, I would still recommend that you at least reach out for a consult. That was one of the other things that I appreciated about BBS - when I first got in contact with them, I knew generally what kinds of assistance I was looking for, but at the same time I did not necessarily want to displace or under-utilize anyone from our existing internal team - if it could be avoided! Note: I am NOT saying or advocating for simply maintaining the status quo when it comes to employees/headcount, and I am not unwilling to make the decision that a particular position doesn't make sense anymore. What I AM saying is that often times when it comes to third party service provider/partnerships, the tendency is for the provider to want to take on as much work as they are capable of doing (and why shouldn't they - that's how they grow their business)! BBS was different in that, their goal was much more focused on what MY business needed, as opposed to talking about all the things that THEY could do. In fact, in my initial consultation I discussed the roles/responsibilities of a couple internal employees that I figured BBS may want to replace with their own people and/or services. Instead, BBS actually ENCOURAGED me to maintain these types of internal positions. They went on to explain with perfect candor that although they would be willing and able to provide any of the services we requested - that in our case it would be more cost-efficient for us to maintain a certain subset of responsibilities in-house, and to only outsource a limited group of specific services to BBS. That level of genuine partnership is hard to come by, and something worth pursuing if you can find it. We certainly found it with BBS, and I assume others would too.

The entire Brecken team has been so great to work with. They work diligently, respond efficiently and most of all, you can truly tell they care!

Devin is fantastic! She took the time to get to know our business and what we are trying to accomplish. When I signed on I had her do an audit of my previous (self-taught) accounting attempts. She saved well over $10k in taxes! She and her team have freed me up to spend more time with my clients, bringing revenue to my company.
